This is a 1958 photo of Mound City Six Band playing in New York City, my friend the Legendary Rev. Jimmy Haislip played Trombone with the Band at the time. The Legendary Gene Krupa is sitting in on drums.

The Band had a weekly television show. The best musicians and entertainers were invited to be part of the program, when they were playing New York. Gene Krupa was playing the Copa Cabana at the time of this visit.

That’s just “World Class” company!
